Fire detection and alarm

Detect early, alarm correctly, never cry wolf.

A system that goes off for no reason is eventually ignored, and then switched off. We size detection around the real conditions in each room, not around a standard layout copied from site to site.

What we install

The detail, not the brochure.

Every line below is a work package we deliver ourselves, with our own engineers and our own equipment.

  • Addressable automatic detection

Every device is identified individually at the panel. No more “somewhere in zone 4”: the duty manager knows exactly which detector responded and where to go.

  • Aspirating smoke detection (ASD)

For high ceilings, dusty environments and high-value rooms. A pipe network samples air continuously and picks up concentrations long before anything is visible.

  • Smoke control and compartmentation

Vents, dampers, fans and fire doors driven by the panel. The cause-and-effect matrix is agreed with you, tested at handover and re-proven at every maintenance visit.

  • Automatic suppression

Inert gas for server rooms and archives, sprinkler and ESFR for logistics. We handle the interface with the detection panel and the associated plant shutdowns.

  • Alarm and evacuation

Audible and visual signalling sized to be perceptible everywhere, including with machinery running. Pre-recorded voice messaging where evacuation has to be phased.

  • Graphics and remote signalling

Site plan on screen, signalling to the security desk and to an alarm receiving centre. Time-stamped event history that stands up after an incident.

Regulatory framework

The rules that actually apply to you.

We cite the references rather than asking you to take our word for it. You can check them — that is the point.

  • Royal Decree of 7 July 1994Basic standards — fire preventionThe founding Belgian text. It sets the requirements for new buildings by height class: low-rise, medium-rise and high-rise. It determines whether automatic detection is required and over what extent.
  • NBN S 21-100-1Design and installation of detectionDefines how the system is structured, the detection zones, the choice of detector against the environment, and the contents of the file handed over at completion. It is the reference standard for certified installers.
  • Code on Well-being at WorkBook III, Title 3 — fire preventionApplies as soon as you employ staff, whether or not the public is admitted. It requires a fire risk assessment, appropriate detection and alarm provision, and evacuation drills.
  • BOSEC certificationCertified equipment and contractorThe Belgian certification mark for components and installation firms. Insurers and the emergency zones regularly require it in their prior opinion.

For which buildings

Very different constraints depending on the type of site.

  • Buildings open to the public

    Retail, hospitality, venues, museums.

  • Industry and logistics

    High-bay warehouses, workshops, Seveso sites.

  • Healthcare facilities

    Hospitals, care homes, laboratories.

  • Offices and residential

    Office buildings, apartment blocks.
